Statement on Hesperian’s Green Practices

Hesperian strives to use printing practices that are green and sustainable. Our books are now printed on 100% recycled paper. We print with soy-based inks, given the harmful and lasting effects the more common petroleum based inks can have on the workers who manufacture and print with them.

Hesperian books are shipped all over the world in boxes made from recycled and recyclable cardboard, are closed with paper (not plastic) tape, and any extra space around the books is filled with recycled paper and never plastic peanuts or bubble wrap.

Hesperian books are written to stay useful for many years, and not filled with quickly outdated content requiring the issue of new editions to remain valid and useful.

All content produced by Hesperian is also made available as a free download from our website, making it simple to search for specific information rather than purchasing an entire text.
