Community Review

One of the ways Hesperian Foundation ensures that its books are as useful as possible is by inviting community-based health projects from around the world to participate in our Community Review. These volunteer reviewers read, evaluate and utilize our books in their communities, helping us create material that is effective and relevant as possible.

For example, Hesperian is currently in the process of developing a series of books for parents and other primary caregivers to encourage the fullest development of disabled children under five years old. Enthusiastic rehabilitation workers from many countries, including Cambodia, Nepal, Nicaragua and Uganda have offered to help field test the materials in their communities. Their crucial feedback will then used to revise and improve the final book.

If you are involved with a community-based health group that is working on issues related to topics covered in any of our books in progress, please email us. We are also interested in hearing helpful feedback about other Hesperian books you may already be using.
